Dr. Jelita Green brings 19 years of experience in private optometric practice to this venture. Her path into eye care began in the classroom as a special education teacher for elementary school children on the autism spectrum, and she entered optometry with a deep commitment to education, patience, and individualized care. That mission became intensely personal when her youngest daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age four — an experience that strengthened her dedication to delivering excellent eye care to diabetic patients, helping them prevent devastating vision loss through medical management, early intervention, and education.
Today she is an award-winning optometrist and glaucoma specialist that has received commendations for excellence in business from The United States Congress, The Texas House of Representative and the mayor of The City of Houston. Dr. Green has also served as a Principal Investigator conducting contact lens clinical research for Johnson & Johnson Vision Careter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age four — an experience that strengthened her dedication to delivering excellent eye care to diabetic patients, helping them prevent devastating vision loss through medical management, early intervention, and education.
